Coaching
Sensei Camal and his staff have produced dozens of junior national and international champions. In 2007, one of Camal Judo’s competitors, Raphael Ramos won the senior nationals at 17 years old in 60kg division. The youngest senior national champion ever!
At the 2009 senior nationals, Raphael moved up to 66kg and placed 3rd in the country. Another student of Camal’s, Carlos Moran placed in the top three in every national and international junior tournament he competed in from 13 to 18 years old which where 17 tournaments!
Both of these competitors started with Camal at 9 years old. Both are currently ranked by USA on the national roster. Matthew Koch, another student represented the USA 13-14 yr old team in Japan in 2008 and went 7 wins & 1 Tie in individual competition!
These are not the 1st or last of future Judo champions coming out of the Camal Judo system!
